SCAA Pets of the Month: Brownie and Whitey

This week's Adoptable Pet from Second Chance Animal Aid, Shanghaiist's favorite adopted animal charity.

Name: Yo-Yo (aka Brownie) and Tin-Tin (alias Whitey)
Age: 8 months
Health: Treated for fleas, mites and worms. Vaccinated and neutered.
Ideal Home: One with older children and no cats.

Story:

Like an epic Chinese drama, the story begins with two sisters abandoned at a young age (2 ½ weeks old). One was rescued due to her great beauty and the other left to die. Thankfully, this is the part of the story where a heroic SCAA volunteer intervened and saved both the tiny kittens.

Brownie and Whitey were brought to their foster home where they were bottle fed every two hours and treated like royal princesses. Whitey is definitely the shy one in the family and will need more time to adjust to her new home. She expresses her affection in subtle ways and is an undemanding, sweet cat. Brownie is the vocal one and will communicate her desires, especially for wet food at dinnertime. She is a warm and loving animal.

All grown up now, the two curious sisters love to chase toys and each other around the house. Their favorite toys are hair bands, balls of tissue, earplugs, Q-tips and anything that resembles a string. They faithfully greet their foster parents at the door every night.

Whitey and Brownie are eagerly waiting for their fairy tale happy ending with a permanent, loving family.
