FRIDAY

Interested in the UK electronic music scene? Roni Size & Dynamite MC will be playing at Shelter - it'll be the duo's first gig in China! Roni Size rose to fame in Britain with his debut album New Forms. Check out his music here.

Punchline Comedy Club will be hosting their last show of 2009, this time with Dougie Dunlop of Scotland, and Dave Hadingham and John Fothergill from England ready to make you cry with laughter. If you miss them tonight, they'll also have a repeat showing on Saturday.

SATURDAY

If you're tired of China blocking your hentai searches, interested in Japanese pop culture, or somewhere in between, you should check out Japanese artist Ryoko Suzuki's first solo exhibition in China, titled ANIKORA, which opens this weekend at Andrew James Art Gallery. "Anikora" is a term used to describe a Japanese desire to see their favorite pop-stars and celebrities in nude poses. Read a bit about the exhibit here.

The Charity Flea Market is back at 1933 this weekend. Come to buy and sell goods that will help raise funds for Stepping Stones, a volunteer group that provides free English classes to migrant children. You'll be able to get homemade food, handmade crafts, magazines, books, clothes and more!

Got ants in your pants? Shake 'em out with some dance. Dada is hosting Trance in Your Pants, a night dedicated to trance music! There's gonna be a host of DJs, including Kodama, SynRG, Carlorimer, and Solaris, to entrance you and romance you and... alright we're done with the rhyming.

Mural is holding it's very first after party this weekend! The Shanghai Dynamics will be playing, bringing some funk and disco to Mural. There will be a 50RMB drink special from 1am - 3am, so prepare yourself for a late night!

SUNDAY

This will be one of the last weekend's to check out artist Mao Yanyang's exhibition 20,000 Hz, a commentary on media censorship, war injustices, environmental protection, and other social issues in China. The exhibition will be showign at Art Scene Warehouse until Nov. 23.

Gay Movie and a Drink hits Weihai Lu's Cinema of Truth. This week's Sunday show is "Coming Out Under Fire 《走出槍口》," a 1994 documentary of homosexual men and women who served in the armed forces of the U.S. under World War II. These soldiers became swept up in anti-homosexual dragnets and entrapment schemes.
