Didn't get to meet the President? Go to Madame Tussauds
President Obama's come and (almost) gone by now and despite our proximity to the Portman Ritz Carlton, we're pretty sure we'll never get a chance to actually get a picture with the leader of the free world... or will we?
To commemorate his coming, Madame Tussauds Shanghai went all Obamaniac, replacing the Liu Xiang figure in the lobby with a statue of the smiling U.S. Head of State. Apparently Faux-bama has been extremely popular, attracting long lines of people excited to hang off his waxen arm.
Besides the statue, the museum's also set up a podium so you can play POTUS too, and has been playing clips of his speeches throughout the building.
While we're usually not a big fan of tourist traps, we might actually head over to Nanjing Xi Lu to check this thing out.
Why not? It's not like the real Obama would ever let us capture him like this:
