Thursday
Richie Hawtin, also known as Plastikman, is back in Shanghai and ready to throw it down. At his last show here over 2,000 people showed up, so you can imagine the energy. He's known as the king of minimal techno and deep acid house and intertwines laptops, twitter posts, live music feeds, and more to create an unforgettable, exciting music experience.

Arizona rockers Grain of Truth hit Shanghai for one night. Apparantly they sound like Led Zepplin and Black Sabbath on steroids - we'll leave that up to your own imaginative interpretation. Shanghai's own reggae band Break for Borneo will be opening.

Friday
It's Yuyintang's fifth anniversary and they're celebrating by throwing a party with four of China's hottest bands, Yu Guo, The Mushroom, Cold Fairyland, and Weghur.

Saturday
For a more relaxing affair, one of Shanghai's foremost jazz bands, Footprints, is celebrating their ten year anniversary.

Or if you're looking to throw it down, check out Shanghai's latest rock band Moon Tyrant who are going to rip up Yuyintang.

French indie rockers Papier Tigre are also playing in support of their newest album 'The Beginning and End of Now'. Shanghai is the last stop on their whirlwind Asian tour, so expect it to be a blowout.

Sunday
Canadian indie foursome Hollerado are back to tear up China for the second time and are stopping off in Shanghai. They have recently caught the attention of Jack White and are making their way up the music scene. Expect a sweaty show, lots of dancing, and definitely some crowd surfing.
