In case you were keeping score,
Construction sites are helpfully identified by color-labeled tags — yellow indicates projects higher than 150m and red denotes Gigantors more than 300m tall. Attached to each, of course, are all the amenities you’ve come to expect from Google Maps, including concept art, useful web sources (with information about the particular project), and even site pictures — you can track their progress from the comfort of your heat-infused home!
We suggest you start up the popcorn immediately.
Update: We have learned that the feature is not from Google at all, but from Staffan Holgersson, Daniel Dominguez, and Christian Nesset, who are using Google Maps to put together a comprehensive showcase of ongoing skyscraper projects — they have one for Shenzhen and Shenyang as well. Thanks for your hard work, gentlemen!
