We're looking forward to JUE Festival 2010

Last year's JUE Festival was an awesome one-two punch of art and music that hit us in the dead of winter. This year, SplitWorks has been kind enough to push it back a couple of months so that hopefully we won't freeze our little booties off trying to get to their shows. JUE 2010 will be from March 12 to 29. But who will be showing?

Says the organizers:

Stellar live performances in Beijing and Shanghai from the charmingly creepy St. Vincent and the raucously catchy Does It Offend You, Yeah?, not to mention exhibitions, workshops, performances and more from the likes of NeochaEDGE, IDLE BEATS screen-printing studio, graffiti artist Matt Lu, painter Winnie Sidhartha, The Bookworm International Literary Festival, Beijing’s Artist Village Gallery and many, many more.

Sounds exciting! We're especially looking forward to St. Vincent (aka Annie Clark). She's been an indie music darling this year, with her album Actor scoring highly in a bunch of best of 2009 lists. The fact that top indie acts like Clark are now appearing regularly in Shanghai is probably our pick for greatest achievement of the decade. Good going China. Good going Splitworks.
