So Haibao’s been taking some dance lessons, and it looks like he’s learned a lot. I mean, look at him: the precocious little guy’s even figured out how to breakdance. The video above is originally from the Expo’s website, and bears the awkward name of “Haibao Hip Hop 1.” But the two step isn’t all he’s learned: he’s added flying handspins and disco-esque splits to his repertoire, not to mention flying!
Apparently, he’s inspired a lot of other people to start dancing. Check out these children performing what we imagine to be a Chinese rendition of a High School Musical number in front of their school. Oh yeah, they’re all supposed to be dressed like Haibao, too.
But you don’t have to be young and nimble to get Haibao fever. This guy just decided to film himself dancing to one of Haibao’s favorite jams in the comfort of his own immensely small dance studio:
And worst yet, here’s a creepy live rendition of the same expo pop song from the second video, with live people in Haibao costumes. It’s called “Haibao, Call me,” but the lyrics mistranslate his name into “Hipo.” Sorry guys, we don’t think Haibao’s going to call you if you can’t even get his name right. And, for the love of god, why is everyone in the audience jumping in unison?
