We know a lot of you have been racking your brains, trying to figure out how else you can help the ongoing relief efforts in Port au Prince. While we’ve outlined some of the ways you can donate in this article, city-wide volunteer organization BEAN is now organizing a way to donate while having fun with friends: A reggaeton party on Saturday with all proceeds going to the Red Cross Haiti fund.
This Saturday, January 30, head to Cotton’s on Xinhua Lu to listen to some reggaeton and raise money for the Red Cross Haiti Earthquake Fund. There’s a 50RMB minimum donation which comes with a free drink, and each “Donation ticket” (50RMB plus a drink) you buy after that will be going to charity as well – so really, drink as much as you can!
Besides the alcohol, you can also buy raffle tickets (10RMB each or 12 for 100RMB) that will give you the chance to win a huge assortment of prizes. The prize list hasn’t been fully confirmed yet (we’ll update you when it is), but BEAN says they’re expecting about 40 sponsors altogether.
