Crazy girl wants free facelift to look like Jessica Alba

xiaoqing jessica alba.jpg Sometimes, when we're perusing Shanghai Daily's website, we find stories that are almost too ridiculous to mock. Seriously, how do you even begin to write creatively about a woman who wants a facelift so she can look like Jessica Alba? We suppose the facts will do: Xiaoqing, a goodhearted, obsessive Chinese girl, broke up with her boyfriend last month, and wants him back. The twist? He was so enamored with Jessica Alba that he made poor Xiaoqing wear a wig and makeup to look like her all the time, even when she slept.

So like any sane person faced with such a dilemma, she decided to post her story on the internet and look for a free facelift. Apparently, the problem in their relationship wasn't unrequited love drenched with unreasonable expectations: she just didn't look enough like Jessica Alba. Luckily, plastic surgery can fix anything these days!

From Shanghai Daily:

The woman met her ex-boyfriend, seven years older than her, a year ago.

The man was a huge fan of Alba, with photos of the star at his home and even on his mobile phone.

The man demanded Xiaoqing wear makeup as Alba does, even during her sleep, though it harmed her skin.

Her Christmas gift last year was an Alba-styled blond wig and he asked her to wear it all day long from then on.

Wearing dense makeup and the wig, she was laughed at by passers-by when hanging out with the man on the weekend following Christmas.

She threw the wig and the fake eyelashes on the ground and proposed a breakup, which the man immediately accepted without hesitation.

We're amazed at the level of humiliation, both public and private, that Xiaoqing endured just to stay with her stalkerish boyfriend. Even more, we can't imagine what would compel her to tell the whole world wide web about it, much less actually get a facelift to look like an American movie star. Finally, we can't believe that the Shanghai Time Plastic Surgery Hospital is actually willing to give her one. Ah, the things people do for crazy, senseless urges true love

So, what happened after all? It's been almost an year now... Did Xiaoqing go on with the surgery?

Did the boyfriend leave her for a cardboard cut-out?

  • piggly_wiggly

No, he left her for a blowup doll with a magazine picture of Alba taped to its face.

    This Xiaoqing is a moron.
