Midweek Music Preview: Andrew Bird, Peppermoon, and Boys Climbing Ropes!
Shanghaiist lists all the live music performances you might want to check out from now to Sunday this week. For fun things that aren't live music, take a peek at our Pencil This In (out every Monday!)
While the pickings are slim for the rest of the week, we're absolutely thrilled about this weekend. Zhijiang Dream Factory seems to have gotten out of its weird boring slump with two acts we can really stand behind: Andrew Bird (OMG!) on Friday and Peppermoon, a French pop trio we hadn't heard of until yesterday... but blew us away when we clicked on their Myspace.
Also, one of our favorite lil' Shanghai-based bands, Boys Climbing Ropes, is releasing their EP, "Except for the Darkness," at Yuyintang this Saturday. Always danceable, always fun, and you'll be guaranteed a copy of that CD at the entrance. Check out the details for these and more below!
