Citta coffee club turns two today, and they'll be doing things at all Citta locations throughout the city to celebrate it. Besides giving away free coffee (if you're already a member, they will also be hosting a party with a live DJ at 8PM tonight. Maybe they should have saved the free coffee til tomorrow morning - when you'd really need it.

TUESDAY
REV's Jeff Tan will teach you how to inspire, motivate and lead your audience at the "Speak the Language of Leaders" seminar at Cottons. Organized by BEAN Shanghai. A 50RMB donation will go to local charity Heart to Heart, which sponsors open heart surgeries for children in need. It's optional... but honestly, you've got a heart, right?

WEDNESDAY
Shanghai Repertory Theater opens its 2010 Spring Season with Shakespeare's King Lear, one of the most far-reaching literary and artistic explorations of the human condition. This production is directed by Philip Knight, and features an international cast of performers. If you miss it tonight, you can catch it again Thursday through Sunday at 8pm. Six local and visiting photographers show us their unique views of China on the big screen at Dada's Shanghai Photographer Night. Tonight's show is curated by Tim Franco, with the special guest being Matthew Niederhauser, who recently published "Sound Kapital" documenting Beijing's music scene. The book just launched in New York on the Maybe Mars USA tour with PK-14, Carsick Cars, and Xiao He. Free entry.

THURSDAY
Have a drink for charity at Social Venture Group’s first Drinks for a Cause. Compassion for Migrant Children will tell us about their work in Shanghai and sell some of their artsy merch then stay around and mingle. All proceeds go to CMC’s new community center.

I Love Shanghai kicks off its four year anniversary with beer pong and a Headbangers Ball. Classic heavy metal and doubles beer pong, plus anniversary hats and special drink prices all night.

FRIDAY
Shanghai Concert Hall celebrates its 80th anniversary with Tang Muhai, one of China's most famous conductors, and some of the country's best young soloists. The soloists will be backed by the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra. Tickets are from 80RMB to 580RMB.
