Not until netizens came across this pretty hilarious photo of a Guizhou government hot line billboard. The sign calls for citizens for Zunyi County to message the number below if they had any suggestions in order to help create a glorious, happy 2010. Only, if you thought regular 13-digit cell phone numbers were difficult to remember, try inputting this: 106573031103010002.
The picture has flown through Tianya and several other forums, with netizens giggling that trying to message the Zunyi County office more than once would break their phone keyboards. While they continued to question the length of the number however, the Zunyi County office sniffed to a reporter that “it doesn’t matter how long or short a number is, it’s how the suggestions are dealt with.”
Ah, there’s the rub. As one netizen pointed out, “This number is actually not bad, it’s smaller than pi after all… beside, if it’s too short, everyone will offer their suggestions and the office will be way too busy!”
