And now for something completely different. The monthly IFAIR Charity fair falls this Saturday, boasting stalls full of original creations by local artisans and second-hand goodies. This weekend will also see Shanghai’s fifth Eco Design Fair at Jiashan Market, which pledges to encourage the city’s sustainable design movement. At 1pm, Adam Minter, renowned writer and the man behind Shanghai Scrap, will be arguing for greater engagement with the city’s scrap recycling industry during his talk entitled ‘Scrapping the Re-Invented Wheel.’
