Said at a shareholder meeting for Foxconn’s parent group,Hon Hai. Gou announced fundamental changes to their models, including abandoning “factory towns” – all inclusive workplaces that include dorms, canteens and other social services along with the factories. After the recent spate of suicides, Gou has pledged to return “these social functions to the government.”
