A recent post by Paul French sent me on a search for a bunch of stuff about China at the 1900 Expo in Paris, France. This was apparently the first time China had participated in a French Expo officially, says expo1900. It featured, amongst other things, a Confucian Temple, representations of famous Chinese sites and displays of their most exported goods.
In case you’re interested in looking at more than just the China Pavilion of Expo 1900, here’s an amazing photoset on Flickr of black and white photos from the event colored by hand.
