Dining City, who hosted Shanghai’s “first ever” Restaurant Week back in late April-early May, will be bringing the dining event back again in the fall. In a press release, they announced that Shanghai’s “second ever” Restaurant Week will be from September 6 to September 12.
Our first edition in May was such a success, with tables selling out in days, that we’re bringing it back for seconds. Restaurant Week 2, the summer edition takes place from 6 to 12 September and will be bigger and better than ever. Get it in your diary, book the week off, arrange your schedule, cancel your trips – you do not want to miss this week long orgy of fantastically priced dining at Shanghai’s Top Restaurants.
If it’s anything like last time’s Restaurant Week, you can expect the regulars of Shanghai’s fine dining to appear: Jean Georges, David Laris’ outlets, a whole bunch places from the Vargas empire. It’ll be interesting to see if the Xintiandi crew participate this time, in May the only place that made it onto the list was T8.
Anyhow, it’s something to look forward to once the summer ends. Here’s their website.
