One of Hernandez’s street style stars
In our ongoing Threesday feature, Shanghaiist takes the time to count out three of….well, whatever catches our fancy that week. Today, it’s more Chinese fashion blogs. We got some great feedback in our last rundown and it prompted us to dig around a little more for other style stand outs. So with that, here’s another serving of Chinese fashion on the web.
1. Shanghai Style File – Run by a Vanderbilt University grad and Shanghai resident of over a year and a half, this delightful blog documents fashions coming and goings in our dear city. Hart’s easygoing writing reads like a fun conversation with your incredibly fashion-obsessed friend (meant in the best way possible.)
2. Tarde O Temprano – Mexican aesthete, Bere Hernandez, has been shooting some of the most striking street style photos around Shanghai. Think fashion meets art photography.
3. Asian Models Blog – This one isn’t strictly China related, but Asian Models Blog tracks how often Asian models pop up at main fashion weeks and in international glossies. You can see here how homegrown models Du Juan, Mo Wandan, and the like are making waves on an international level, complete with high-resolution scans of editorials and ad campaigns.
