Head down to Shanghai Times Square for an evening of Concerto music of the highest calibre. Concerto Koln was founded in 1985 and the ensemble is known for its energetic style. Catch one of the highest ranking orchestras in the World at Shanghai Time Square. The reception is from 6.30pm and the concert starts at 7pm.

If orchestral music isn’t your thing, head down to Downstream Garage and catch some contemporary dance with live sound made by microphoned paper dress. This Saturday offers an extremely rare opportunity. Leo Gallery cordially invites you to attend After Shock, a photography exhibit of how Qinghai’s Yushu region was affected by the earthquake on April 14th of this year. Scenes of the aftermath will be on exhibit today. A Buddha from the region will be present to discuss the tragic event and offer blessings to visitors. In addition, mounted photographs from the exhibit will be gifted to those leaving a minimum donation.

The shelter is aprox. 45 minutes outside of Shanghai which does mean an early start…the bus boards at 9.40am (gasp!). If dance music is your dirty little secret, then you need to head down to Atunu bar. The Ice Cream Truck is this year organising the dance stage at the MIDI festival in Zhenjiang and this Sunday they will get all the festival goers (and non-goers) warmed up with a day of partying on their favourite rooftop. Spectacular views and free entry before 5pm….put work at the back of your mind and carry your weekend on to Monday morning!
