Transport yourself back to the twenties and thirties hey day with a nightly jazz show at the Peace Hotel. The live music performed by six musicians veterans whose average age is 77! So kick back in their plush seats with a cigar and know you’re in good company — Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagon and celebrities of the day have all frequented this historic bar.

This week’s screening at Sub-Cinema is the 1993 film, La Madre Muerta. The film tells the story of a petty criminal who bungles up a burglary and shoots dead a mother and injures her daughter. Years later, he comes across the daughter again, who is mentally handicapped — in Spanish with English subtitles. There’s no cover and Dada provides all the free popcorn you want. Get there as early as 8pm to ensure good seats for the movie which begins at 9pm.
