How did we miss this?! China’s Got Talent finally began auditions for its second season yesterday, and they started with Shanghai! Reports about the number of registrants who showed up in Zhabei district yesterday vary – Sina says around 9,000, which is three to four times the number of participants last year.
China’s Got Talent confirmed the second season only about a month ago, and they plan to increase the number of audition centers from 8 to 20 this year. The video above shows only a few of the candidates, as Dragon TV is certainly saving the best for April when the first round of eliminations will begin airing. Apparently there’s a majong-playing poodle in the mix!
We saw a small taste of things to come last week, when China’s Got Talent released a special New Year’s episode.
