Our friends over at BEAN have a superb dining deal that you should know about: To celebrate Earth Hour next month, China’s first eco conscious hotel is offering a 3-course meal with wine for only 200RMB.
You’ll get to meet Daniel d’Andrea, the man who brought Earth Hour to Shanghai four years ago. He’ll talk about his experiences with community governments, how he got everything started here, and what Earth Hour is all about.
Earth Hour is a global event organized by the World Wildlife Fund and is held around the world from 8:30 to 9:30 pm on the last Saturday in March. During this hour, hundreds of millions of people turn off their lights and other appliances to raise awareness about the need to take action about climate change. Over 126 countries celebrated Earth Hour last year. Show your support by joining BEAN for dinner and learning about how to better the planet.
Seating is limited, as there is only room for 75 people, so please reserve early. Doors open at 6:30, seating by 7:00 pm. To RSVP, call Urbn at 5172 1300 or e-mail them at [email protected] You must reference “Earth Hour” when you make your reservation.“
Shanghaiist would also like to point out that although Shanghai Restaurant Week has some great deals, if you’ve been wanting to try Downstairs, you might wanna hold off until this day. The 3-course dinner organized by BEAN is 48RMB cheaper and provides wine. Plus you’ll get to feel good about yourself, not only because of the flattering candle-lit setting, but for taking part in energy awareness, saving the world, and other heart-warming things like that.
