Forget hopping in a car and road-tripping across the country, all the cool kids are motorcyling their journeys. You may remember the MK Ride which took two brothers all over China. Following somewhat in their footsteps, in January 2011, two former Expo employees set off on a two-month motorcycle journey through southern China and Southeast Asia. Dubbed the Great Ride Forward, Peter Winter and Hans Von Meister got the idea after making friends with their Chinese and SE Asia counterparts while working at the USA Pavilion. Starting from Kunming, the two are riding south to the Chinese-Laotian border then crossing into Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam, covering over 8,000km before heading back north to Shanghai. With one an avid photographer/writer and the other a lifelong gearhead, the boys are documenting their adventures and misadventures on their site.
