This one’s just for fun: Apparently (and adorably) the Changsha Underwater World conducted a systematic health check of all its female animals in honor of Women’s Day last week. This involved sending an 80-year-old sea turtle to the local Children’s Hospital for a CT Scan, which because of her size was the only way to check on the health of her internal organs. Weighing in at around 70kg, this was clearly no easy feat.
They found the turtle to have some lung inflammation and a foreign mass in her stomach, and now veterinarians are treating her accordingly.
