Groupon’s China website Gaopeng.com has kicked off with its first deals-of-the-day now live in 11 cities around China. But it’s got its work cut out for it because it will have to contend with many local competitors who entered the market before it did. Here’s a chart that shows the top group-buying websites in China by monthly visitors. The strongest performer, and no surprise there, is Taobao’s Juhuasuan (“great deal”). It would be interesting to see another chart ranking the top players by monthly revenue, but the information does not seem to be available yet.
