Save yourself some energy, though, because we’ve also got Mongolian rockers Hanggai, local band Moon Tyrant’s CD release, and some indie rock form Holland! THE BLACK ATLANTIC Dutch indie folk outfit The Black Atlantic plays Yuyintang on Sunday as part of JUE Festival. They were formed around singer and songwriter Geert van der Velde, who used to front a metalcore band, and released their first full length album back in 2009 (free digital download here.) They’ve been compared to Fleet Foxes and Bon Iver, so expect melodious, melancholy, and multi-layered harmonies (check out their myspace or watch a video of the song they just recorded on the Great Wall!) It’s an early show, folks, and local favorite Rainbow Danger Club is opening so don’t be late!
