Well, two of these four “heavenly” beings are coming
The biggest piece of concert news this spring season is that Bob Dylan is playing Shanghai Grand Stage on April 8th–you already knew that unless you’re on some type of news media fast for Lent–however, there’s a lot more going on besides that especially in the Canto and Mandopop arena. Here are some big name Chinese singers to look out for these next two months.
Two of the “Four Heavenly Kings”, Aaron Kwok and Andy Lau will both be in town (but performing separately) for one night only. Each are playing Saturdays–Aaron Kwok’s concert comes first on April 16th while Andy Lau won’t get here until May 7th. Tickets for both start at 180RMB with Kwok’s show topping out at 1880RMB while the closest you can get to Lau is in the 1280RMB range.
Moving on, we’re also going to be getting two Taiwanese show stoppers. The island’s reigning pop princess Jolin Tsai (90-1290RMB) will writhe around sexily on stage at the Hongkou Soccer Stadium and pretty boy Show Luo (280-1280RMB), also known as Xiao Zhu, will be at the Mercedes-Benz Arena. You’ll have to choose between one of them though because they are scheduled for the same night at the exact same time, that’s May 21st at 9:30pm. Oh, life’s tough decisions.
