It may not be raining cats and dogs, but SCAA had definitely seen a sprinkling of puppies this spring! Shai is one of several healthy and social rescued puppies currently looking for a loving, permanent home.
An affectionate and smart puppy, Shai is initially wary of strangers and is a submissive pup. She was rescued from the street as a tiny, underweight and dehydrated pup. Now happy and healthy, Shai laps up attention from dog lovers with some encouraging words from her rescuers/foster parents and treats from new friends, although she isn’t fond of being picked up. Shai is obedient and responds well to training – easily mastering “sit”, “stay”, “shake a paw” and “turn around”. She loves to play with her rescuers/foster parents and is happy to cuddle with her toys that span the animal kingdom – from rabbit and bear to wombat.
Shai is a small dog with a big heart and will make a great pet.
