Update: Huffington Post reports that the ban extends only until July 26.Communist party rule marks its 90th anniversary in this country the first of July and as expected Tibet is closing its borders to foreigners for the entire month. Foreigners will not be allowed into the autonomous region (individually or with tour groups). It’s pretty standard procedure for big occasions but there was no doubt the border would be shut down considering all the unrest going on lately in Inner Mongolia, Guangzhou, and Hubei. So then…if you can’t beat em, maybe you should join em? The much publicized high speed bullet train also starts July 1st and in a mere 5 hrs you could be partying it up with the CCP.
