Y-town, a Shanghai based eco-design company recently released pictures of a recycled refrigerator they turned into a doghouse. They did this of course for their adorable stray puppy they named “ChuiChui” (吹吹). Because of his special new home, “chuichui” is becoming weibo.com’s newest viral sensation.
According to inhabitat.com
“Laid down on its side, the Bosch refrigerator’s compartments perfectly divide up Chuichui’s living space. The door was opened to create an entrance and exit ramp, and the refrigerator’s main compartment was outfitted with a soft cushion to serve as the “bedroom.” The other wire rack-divided compartments become areas for drinking water or eating puppy chow. Y-town also added a piece of glass to serve as a sloped roof that overhangs the ramp”.
It’s nice to see something being made in Shanghai that fills us with warm fuzzies instead of horror!
