Album release parties galore this weekend, and the two biggest ones land on the same night (Saturday)! Pet Conspiracy and Fever Machines will both be slinging new CDs, as will Voodoo Kungfu. Read on for details and other stuff, or check out our calendar for more!
LOUDSUMMER 2011 @ MAO Hot Pot Music brings us rock from Israel and the Netherlands this week for the Loudsummer Tour 2011. First up are Israeli four-piece punk-rock band Useless ID from Haifa who have been kicking around since 1994 and producing tons of music. Check out their Douban or Myspace for a taste. Also playing is Destine, a Dutch band formed in 2006 that trends toward skate pop-punk kinda ballads (think Fall Out Boy, who they have shared a stage with at some point.) Definitely should be a show with a lot of energy! More event/tickets info here and here (in Chinese).

I’m going to go ahead and throw this one over to Smart Shanghai, who will educate you in detail as to who is who and what is what. Expect new wave and rock and a straight up decent concert. PET CONSPIRACY ALBUM RELEASE @ MIXING ROOM Beijing big time dance punk band Pet Conspiracy release their latest full-length album this weekend at the Mercedes Benz Arena Mixing Room. Super big and inconvenient-to-get-to venue for a domestic artists, methinks. Anywho, they sound like this and make great dance punk to get you moving. Lots of beatz and tuneage and lights and fun!

FEVER MACHINES CD RELEASE @ YYT Local stoner rock three-piece Fever Machines are releasing their debut album “Living from Oblivion.” These guys are prolific performers around town, most notably hosting the monthly Fever Machines and Friends concerts.
