This month’s Adoptable Pets from Jaiya’s Animal Rescue (JAR)
DOB: Feb 2011
Health: 1st shot vaccination, dewormed. deflead.
Ideal Home: Gets along well with people (once trust has been established), other dogs and cats.
My brother and I found this small puppy who was hiding under cars and living in an open garage of an empty house in our compound. The puppy was quite dirty and skinny, and it was obvious that the dog had not belonged to anyone else as he was extremely scared of us.
So we went home and got some food, returned and fed the puppy, trying to get him to trust us. Many people walked by saying how the puppy had been there for quite some time, reconfirming our observation that the dog had no owner.
We came back later in the day and fed him some dog food, the puppy came closer to us and even took some food from our hands. The next morning, we fed him some more, and he became more comfortable around us. When we brought food in the afternoon the puppy let us pat him.
After that he followed us home. We made him a makeshift crate, and put towels inside, and he was perfectly behaved the whole night. Unfortunately we cannot keep him as a foster dog, as we are going on vacation this week, so he is currently staying at a vet clinic in Pudong.
Please let Buddy into your home, he is very loving and is a really sweet dog.
