Plaza 353 (353广场)
This just in! Ever since that mysterious Forever 21 sign was spotted over on Nanjing Dong Lu, we’ve been wondering just what exactly they’ve got in the works over by the Bund. Lo and behold, Nanjing East is planning something called a BIG BRAND SHAKE UP! Whereby they plan to make their strip equally as popular with the young and fashionable as their Nanjing West counterpart. Here’s what you can look forward to:
- The first Forever 21 (永恒21) in China! This China flagship store will be modeled off their store in New York’s Times Square, and will consist of four floors. Still no word, however, on when they might open this massive, mega-cheap beast of youth fashion.
- China’s first Abercrombie & Fitch and Hollister stores! The Hollister flagship store alone will reportedly take up 3 floors of the soon-to-open Plaza 353 (353广场). You guys think they’ll implement the same policy as the States, where they find employees simply by pulling pretty girls off the street and offering them a job? A&F also plans on doing their shirtless retail thing in Hong Kong as well.
- The largest Apple store in all of Asia! Or at least that’s what people are “expecting.” Details are fuzzy, but they look to be targeting 4 floors of No. 300 Nanjing E pedestrian street.
- 353 Plaza will also feature the following: Guess, Swatch, Fila, Marlboro, Lacoste, Dickies, Nike, ZARA, and a 7-floor cinema.
