Swiss private banking group Julius Baer has released its first Asia Wealth Report, an analysis of the High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI) landscape in ten leading economies in the Asia-Pacific region.
The report includes some fascinating figures:
- The estimated number of HNWI’s in the ten economies will double from 1.16 million in 2010 to 2.82 million in 2015. Within that time period, the wealth they hold will balloon from $5.6 trillion to $15.81 trillion.
- Half of the HNWI’s in 2015 will be Chinese — China is forecast to be home to 1.40 million HNWIs with a total wealth of $8.76 trillion by 2015.
- For this year and next, China and India together will contribute over 40% of global growth alone.
