Astute Shanghaiist readers have probably noticed that I haven’t been posting much anyway for the last couple of months, but here it is officially: I’m heading out of the country and will no longer be contributing to this site. It’s been a great run and thanks everybody for reading!
I’m proud to leave in my stead a team that’s way more well… an actual team of people. And not only are they more than one, they’re also smart, funny and great at doing what I always thought Shanghaiist should be doing – bringing attention to all the news in China that’s weird, wacky and occasionally very, very important.
Taking over my position as head editor is Jessica Colwell. Supporting her will be Fan Huang and Joel Herrick. And, of course, everybody knows Kenneth Tan, who was editor before me and has graciously come back to do his thing.
It’s been great watching this site grow and I can’t thank Founding Editor Dan Washburn enough for actually getting back to the random girl who met him in a bar and then sent him a resume.
Perhaps some day in the future, I’ll be back on here again – but in case not, toodaloo!
