This month’s Adoptable Pet from Second Chance Animal Aid.
Age: 6 months
Health: Treated for fleas, mites, worms, cold virus, vaccinated, and neutered. All SCAA animals receive international-standard PAW veterinary care.
Ideal Home: Markus is a curious and friendly older kitten best suited to a home with another friendly cat, a small dog, or with a pet-less family home often. Markus would be good for older children only, as he can play rough when excited.
Markus’ foster mom describes him as an “adorable and beautiful” young cat. His journey from rescue to relaxation in foster care was a difficult one. Markus and his siblings were found emaciated and huddled together on the dirt floor crawl space under a restaurant when they were only a month old. One of his siblings had already died and another died shortly after rescue. Markus stood out from the pack from the start – stronger in body and spirit than his litter mates, Markus appreciated all the TLC kind people lavished on him and developed a strong bond with caregivers.
An active young cat, Markus enjoys the company of other friendly cats and small dogs. When he’s not playing with his foster cat or little dog friend, he can be found hanging out with his foster mom from neutral-speed napping to high-octane attacks on the toy mice she tosses his way. He is one of those cats who likes to stake his place on the bed at night. Markus thrives on attention once he’s taken a few days to settle in to a new place and get to know new people.
For more information about adopting Markus, please visit SCAA’s website, contact [email protected], or come meet him at Adoption Day on Sunday, September 18 at Cotton’s Xinhua lu location (294 Xinhua lu, near Dingxi lu / 新华路294号 ) from 11AM – 2PM.
