Starts: Saturday 1pm-7pm
Shanghaiist is a proud media sponsor of Shanghai’s first ever Design Art and Fashion Fair! Local party planners The Ice Cream Truck are taking over Wharf 1846 on the beautiful Bund waterfront and will be putting on the huge fair which will showcase the best Shanghai’s creative minds have to offer in the realms of art, design and fashion this Saturday.
Giving an opportunity and a stage to rising stars within the art, fashion and design world, the event allows new and old faces to network, share and promote ideas, and of course showcase their products and passion to the general public.
The fair will have a number of food and drink stalls, live music, and live art, but the real highlight will be the dozens of independent design and fashion labels new and old that will all present their unique creations in their personal booths, as well as on the runway during the fashion show.
We are especially pumped to watch artist Brand Fury One go at it in a live graffiti session at the start of the fair, and to meander through the numerous booths and gawk at the chic jewelry of cukimber, the always-stylish outfits of Jessie Chen, and the retro-meets-modern furniture wares of Jonas Design. SnoozerLooser will also be there with inspiration for your fall fashion wardrobe.
Other booths will include the sassy FrauAna, FINCH, new but hot USW and LuRu home, Shanghai Naturals, Strictly Furniture, La Dilettante, the awesomly named Kung Fu Kicks, ukA & shokorih, Mojo, Ta Jie, Uptown Records, Lomography, Sten-Solo and Rolento Photography.
All the while Milan J and DJ Trix will be spinning and keeping things interesting. The fair runs from 1pm to 7pm, and, as you can see, is chock full of goodies. Shanghaiist will definitely be there and if you’re looking for a good place to enjoy what should be a beautiful day, we can’t think of a better option.
