“Even though Chen Guangcheng’s eyes can’t see light, his heart is filled with light. Then there are many people whose eyes can see light, but whose hearts are completely dark.”
LEI YI, A HISTORIAN AND RESEARCH FELLOW FROM THE CHINESE ACADEMY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES (CASS).
CASS, the State Council-affiliated think-tank proclaimed top think-tank in Asia (and 15th in the world) by Foreign Policy, recently produced a video in which Lei Yi went on camera to speak well of Chen.
Recently, there have been renewed efforts from fellow activists trying to visit Chen in his home (Chen and his family, including his school-aged daughter, are under house arrest), a situation which has even been explained using Angry Birds.
