Okay, so you’re trying to seal the deal with some fatherly big boss-types in the clubhouse after a few rounds of golf. They want to know if they can take a peek at those luxury housing development plans you’ve been cooking up, but they can’t all just crowd around your little tablet computer like a bunch of craven children, right? And they definitely can’t pass it around from one person to the next, what ludicrousness. So what do you do? Looks like the new Lenovo Thinkpad Tablet has you covered.
That’s right folks, it’s the magical power of the USB port, something the iPad famously lacks. A simple little jack that opens up a world of possibilities. And oh, stylus-based screen interface technology from 2002! Why did it ever go away? At least it’s back now, let’s hope for good this time.
Seriously though, the tablet looks very nice, and we’re sure someone would be more than pleased to receive it for Christmas this year. Not exactly sock-level disappointment, but still.
We wish we could say the same for the Padfone, a new combination phone and tablet from Asus. If we were in charge of their marketing, we’d probably hit the global late-night infomercial channels pretty hard. God knows how else they’re going to sell something that’s on the same level of creativity as a digital watch that can change channels on your TV.
Then again, the coveted ironic hipster-market might be good for a few dozen units. We can definitely foresee some handlebar-moustached broseph chilling with his organic latte at the local fair-trade cafe, while getting his Fruit Ninja on and answering calls…SIMULTANEOUSLY!
