The recent scandalous story circulating on Sina Weibo involving a naked mistress leaping from the second story of a hotel in Nanjing to escape the wrath of her wife’s lover has been revealed to be fraudulent.
According to the fanciful account:
Upon hearing that her husband was meeting another woman at a nearby hotel in Nanjing, an angry wife rushed to catch the pair in the act on Sunday.
When the mistress learned of the wife’s imminent arrival, she jumped still naked from the hotel room’s second floor window while her lover hailed a taxi to spirit her away. A video of the naked woman making her quick getaway is now being circulated on the internet in China.
The police received a report to say a woman had jumped from a second floor window. Arriving on the scene, the police were met by the woman who first reported the incident, who was looking out from her second-floor window yelling for the officers to meet her.
As the following video reveals, the pictures of the so-called mistress are actually photos of a mentally-handicapped woman jumping from a balcony last year — and in Anhui, not in Nanjing. These photos were regurgitated by several anonymous people and slapped onto a fictional account that’s been re-tweeted like wildfire.
Perhaps these anonymous authors just wanted to be part of the recent news trend featuring naked people in public, the latest installment of which concerned a nude man climbing down a drain pipe to escape a police raid at a Jilin brothel.
Either way, with all that creativity, these guys should definitely consider writing the new TV show, Cheaters: Nanjing.
