This month’s Adoptable Pet from Second Chance Animal Aid:
Age: under 1 year
Health: Treated for fleas, mites, worms, vaccinated, tested for FIV/FeLV (feline Aids and Leukaemia respectively) and neutered. All SCAA animals receive generously discounted international-standard PAW vet care.
Ideal Home: Mazey is an affectionate, friendly and playful young male. After a short adjustment period in a new place with new people, Mazey makes himself right at home and you’ll be amazed at how quickly he becomes another member of the family – happy to watch T.V., cuddle on your lap, or grab a nap in the sun.
Mazey was found wandering the garden in a large apartment compound in Pudong during the recent holiday in October. His rescuer, a veterinarian from the U.S., and her young son were out in the garden when Mazey, who obviously has an excellent sense for good people, approached them. Worried about how thin Mazey was, they scooped him and took him inside, where although he was shaking a little he never stopped purring.
Mazey instantly took to the great indoors and settled in quickly with his foster family – he’s litter trained and loves playing with his toys. He considers himself such a vital part of the household that he greets people at the door and prefers to oversee activity and be near people as much as possible. Foster mom has now adapted to a new dish-washing ritual that involves Mazey curling up on (yes, on) her feet! Mazey is great with kids and people with laps of all sizes.
Rescuer/foster parents describe Mazey as a sweet boy with a lot of kitten in him. In short, Mazey is a happy and healthy cat who offers all the loyal companionship of a dog without the daily walks!
For more information about offering Mazey a forever home, please visit SCAA’s website, contact [email protected], or come meet him at Adoption Day on Sunday, November 13 at O’Malley’s (42 Taojiang lu, near Urumqi lu 桃江路42号, 近乌鲁木齐路) from 11AM – 2PM.
