This month’s Adoptable Pet from Jaiya’s Anima Rescue (JAR):
DOB: August 2011
Health: 1st sho vaccine, deflead & dewormed.
He is a very special kitten! He suffered a probable head trauma when about 6 weeks old and was rescued in a very disoriented state. With a lot of intensive care and love he has really blossomed against the odds into a lovely cuddly, purry boy, and is now 100% healthy. He is ready to seek a very special kind of home.
He does have some disability which has to be taken into consideration- mainly that he has some problem with his eyesight- he does appear to see large objects and moving objects but it is clear his vision isn’t 20/20. This doesn’t impede him whatsoever from scampering around and chasing toys – in fact he is as active as a ‘normal’ kitten. He is perfectly litter-trained also.
This does mean that he will need to be an indoor cat, preferably with no large staircases for him to climb. He is a little afraid of new things to begin with, but soon adapts and really needs company and nurturing to feel safe and secure. He is still a little unsure about other cats, but with careful introduction and reassurance we feel he could get over his initial fear to enjoy the company of another feline friend.
Not suited to very young children as he needs careful gentle handling. He will however make a delightful affectionate companion to the right person or family who will be greatly rewarded with this happy little trooper!!
