J.R. Smith is finally in the building! The Tatted One and the Zhejiang Golden Bulls will take on the Shanghai Sharks tonight at Yuanshen Stadium, in one of the last games of the Sharks’ regular season.
The Golden Bulls are in town to fight for better seeding in the CBA playoffs, with the Sharks and their visitors both currently tied with 16-14 records. Zhejiang will look to Smith to get his points in a way that actually brings their team a win, after Smith’s 41 points weren’t enough to prevent a loss against Foshan last night.
Smith’s season has been predictably drama-filled, with accusations of faked injuries and cultural clashes with his team all happening within his first week in the CBA.
Recently, mild tension escalated when Smith’s sister and girlfriend began shoving and flipping off heckling fans in attendance at a Golden Bulls game in Tianjin. As a result of the incident, the internet is now aware that J.R. Smith’s girlfriend seems to be competing with him to achieve Yakuza-like tattoo coverage of their respective bodies.
However, the basic fact is that going to see a J.R. Smith game gives you a greater guarantee of seeing a defender get mortally embarrassed than anyone else currently playing in China at the moment (video evidence provided below). Catch him before he returns stateside and signs with the Knicks/Spurs/Clippers!
Tickets will be available at the Yuanshen Stadium box office, or you can call 400-620-6006.
