Xiao Laohu: Equal Opportunity Feline Friend for People and Pets Alike

Who Am I?

I’m a lovely, outgoing and happy female tri-color tabby under 2 years old. Don’t be fooled by my name. I’m best described as a big kitten rather than a little tiger!
Found abandoned on the street as a baby kitten in need of bottle feeding, I’ve been waiting patiently in foster care for an adoptive family a long time. This fact is as much a mystery to me as it is to my great foster parents at everyone at SCAA.

Why I Make a Great Pet!

My amazingly social temperament! Hand raised by a kind foster mom, I’m confident around new people and love making friends. I’ve been known to coo like a pigeon at my foster mom’s visitors. My unexplainably long time in SCAA foster care has been a mixed blessing as I’ve not only learned to share my space with other foster animals, I’ve thrived on the companionship of other cats and dogs too.

My excellent health

As for my health, you couldn’t ask for a better cat. Like all SCAA foster animals, I’ve received the best vet care possible from SCAA’s vet partner, PAW. After suffering a mild bout of common skin fungus last year, most likely the result of napping in a foster mom’s big potted plant - ringworm thrives in moist soil; my coat is now soft and shiny. I’ve been treated for fleas and mites (Revolution), worms (Milbemax), and am up to date on my vaccinations (Tri-Cat and rabies) as well as spayed.

My Ideal Home

In addition to a person or two to lavish attention on me and gratefully accept my cat kisses, I would enjoy a home that offers the companionship and attention of another friendly cat or a gentle dog. There’s plenty of love to go around and I like sharing.
