An American college entry form has been leaving many applicants feeling confused about their sexuality after including the option ‘Chinese’ as a sexual orientation option.
A picture of the form, posted on Reddit yesterday, has received hundreds of comments. We’ve included a selection of the best ones below:
I experimented with being Chinese for a while back when I was in university. It’s not something I’m proud of, but a lot of people try it. Some people, like a billion of them or so, stick with it.
Mom? Dad? Could you sit down please? Mom, dad, I have a confession to make. I know this may be hard to take in but… (deep breath) mom and dad, I’m Chinese.
I freaking love egg fried rice.
Oh man, I’m Confused now…does that make me Chinese?
It’s not Chinese if you don’t use chopsticks, right? RIGHT?!?!

You could just be chi-curious
I was cleaning your bedroom and found a packet of soy sauce in your sock drawer. I’m sure it’s not yours and that you were just holding it for a friend…
I think this Chinese thing is just a phase.
FINALLY they added Chinese and I don’t have to check “Other” like some weirdo
