What better way to keep the eyes of a convention center full of men on your new car models than having a pole dancer perform in their midst? At the Jilu Spring Car Expo in the Shandong capital of Jinan, potential car buyers looked with rapt attention as a dancer adeptly worked a pole, possibly as a bid to communicate how well the unidentified car model she was promoting handled corners, or amazing grippage, what have you.
Scantily clad woman are nothing new at car shows, but the trend has been moving towards more elegantly clad showgirls, with cocktail dresses now generally outnumbering thongs. The unnamed manufacturer’s booth at the Jinan International Convention Center apparently didn’t get this memo.
However, upon further investigation, the pole-dancing might count as part of the modesty trend at car shows, seeing as stripper gyrations are downright wholesome compared to past auto shows, which have included outright nudity and body painting.
