Things don’t seem to be going well for either of Shanghai’s Chinese Super League teams. First Shenhua lost their head coach, now Shenxin is dealing with a little bit of mess following a massive brawl during a game against Qingdao Jonoon last night.
A total of five red cards were handed out at Tiantai Stadium in Qingdao, the second-highest in CSL history. (The record, set in 2004, is six).
The brawl began after Shenxin’s Antônio Flávio made a flagrant foul against Jonoon’s Zheng Long. Players from both teams got involved in the scuffle, chasing each other off the field.
Jonoon ended up winning the game 2-1.
