Now going viral on Sina Weibo — a post by a Beijing-based businessman, Shi Xingfeng. He writes:
Just two months after the trial operation of a Class II highway in Yunnan’s Lüchun county, something unprecedented in this country has happened. On the morning of July 2, a van flew down the cliff from this highway, at approximately over 1km above ground. When it happened, I was wondering why the van suddenly disappeared. Turns out that the highway led it off the cliff. The government actually had the guts to put this wonderful highway into trial. This is a classic case of a tofu-dreg project.
Neither the collapse of the highway nor the disappearance of the said van appears to have been independently verified by the media, but the pictures speak for themselves.
At press time, the post attracted 12,000 shares and 1,800 comments on Sina Weibo.
