Shenzhen ZQGames is now offering nationalistic Chinese iPad owners the chance to protect the
Senkaku Diaoyu Islands and “annihilate any attempt by the Japanese devils to come ashore our islands.” The game, titled ‘Defend The Diaoyu‘, contains seventy one levels of cartoon dismembering and the highest level of anti-Japanese sentiment we’ve witnessed since these urinals.
For those not in the loop, the Diaoyu/Senkaku islands are subject to a territorial dispute which ultimately boils down to China shouting “I saw them first!” whilst Japan wags it’s finger and snorts “Yeah? Well I claimed them first!” An argument which hit previously undiscovered depths of irony when Beijing asked Taipei to validate their claim of sovereignty over the islands. “No”, was the unsurprising response.
We haven’t seen the final level, but we can only hope it’s an Ultimate Boss Stage pitting you against Tokyo Governor Shintaro Ishihara and his sidekick panda Sen Sen as they attempt to buy the islands.
