Shanghai international beer festival: October is chock full of beer events, and we’re keeping ’em flowing with the first Shanghai International Beer Festival kicking off on October 19th at the Wharf 1846 Bund Promenade. This three-day fest will feature over 60 beers from 10 countries, including local craft brews from the likes of Boxing Cat and Kaiba. If that’s not enough to rev up your inner-beerbarian, there’s a blind beer-tasting competition, beer pong, and a “ganbei gong”; every time it chimes….well, you know the drill. Non-beer-fueled-debauchery entails eating contests, music picked by The Ice Cream Truck, and a family fun area for the kids. Considering this event is overlapping with the tail-end of Oktoberfest at Paulaner Bräuhaus, October looks to be a month to remember (or not to remember, perhaps).
