On a flight from Shenzhen to Xi’an on Friday morning, a Chinese first-time-flyer, apparently channelling Mitt Romney, asked the passenger sitting next to him to open the window so he could get some fresh air. When the passenger tried to explain the concept of pressurized compartments and air temperature, things got a bit… crazy.
Via Beijing Cream:
As reported by Shenzhen Satellite TV (embedded after the jump), the obstreperous passenger spat in the other’s face and cursed loudly. A stewardess then intervened.
Despite the stewardess’s intense selection process, she was unable to calm the passenger down. The increasingly panicked man threw fruit juice over her and began pounding the window so hard that his hand bled.
Unsurprisingly, once the plane landed (with all windows firmly shut) the man was handed over to police.
